¹⁴ But when the apostles Barnabas and Paul heard this, ^(A)they tore their clothes and ran in among the multitude, crying out ¹⁵ and saying, “Men, ^(B)why are you doing these things? ^(C)We also are men with the same nature as you, and preach to you that you should turn from ^(D)these useless things ^(E)to the living God, ^(F)who made the heaven, the earth, the sea, and all things that are in them, ^16 (G)who in bygone generations allowed all nations to walk in their own ways. ^17 (H)Nevertheless He did not leave Himself without witness, in that He did good, ^(I)gave us rain from heaven and fruitful seasons, filling our hearts with ^(J)food and gladness.”

^24 (A)God, who made the world and everything in it, since He is ^(B)Lord of heaven and earth, ^(C)does not dwell in temples made with hands. ²⁵ Nor is He worshiped with men’s hands, as though He needed anything, since He ^(D)gives to all life, breath, and all things.
