^50 (A)But the Jews incited the devout ^(B)women of high standing and the leading men of the city, ^(C)stirred up persecution against Paul and Barnabas, and ^(D)drove them out of their district.

¹¹ my persecutions and sufferings that happened to me ^(A)at Antioch, ^(B)at Iconium, and ^(C)at Lystra—which persecutions I endured; yet ^(D)from them all ^(E)the Lord rescued me.

Paul Stoned at Lystra

^19 (A)But Jews came from Antioch and Iconium, and having persuaded the crowds, ^(B)they stoned Paul and dragged him out of the city, supposing that he was dead.

^2 (A)But the ^(B)unbelieving Jews stirred up the Gentiles and poisoned their minds against ^(C)the brothers.^[a]

^45 (A)But ^(B)when the Jews^[a] saw the crowds, they were filled with ^(C)jealousy and began to contradict what was spoken by Paul, ^(D)reviling him.

Paul Arrested in the Temple

²⁷ When ^(A)the seven days were almost completed, ^(B)the Jews from Asia, ^(C)seeing him in the temple, stirred up the whole crowd and laid hands on him,

¹³ But when the Jews from Thessalonica learned that the word of God was proclaimed by Paul at Berea also, they came there too, ^(A)agitating and stirring up the crowds.

² For I bear them witness that ^(A)they have a zeal for God, ^(B)but not according to knowledge.

³⁷ But Paul said to them, “They have beaten us publicly, ^(A)uncondemned, men who are Roman citizens, and have thrown us into prison; and do they now throw us out secretly? No! Let them come themselves and take us out.” ³⁸ The police reported these words to the magistrates, and ^(B)they were afraid when they heard that they were Roman citizens. ³⁹ So they came and apologized to them. And they took them out and ^(C)asked them to leave the city.
