⁴⁶ Then Paul and Barnabas grew bold and said, ^(A)“It was necessary that the word of God should be spoken to you first; but ^(B)since you reject it, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, behold, ^(C)we turn to the Gentiles.

²⁸ “Therefore let it be known to you that the salvation of God has been sent ^(A)to the Gentiles, and they will hear it!”

²⁰ but ^(A)declared first to those in Damascus and in Jerusalem, and throughout all the region of Judea, and then to the Gentiles, that they should repent, turn to God, and do ^(B)works befitting repentance.

^5 (A)When Silas and Timothy had come from Macedonia, Paul was ^(B)compelled ^[a]by the Spirit, and testified to the Jews that Jesus is the Christ. ⁶ But ^(C)when they opposed him and blasphemed, ^(D)he shook his garments and said to them, ^(E)“Your blood be upon your own heads; ^(F)I am clean. ^(G)From now on I will go to the Gentiles.”

⁴³ “Therefore I say to you, ^(A)the kingdom of God will be taken from you and given to a nation bearing the fruits of it.

²⁶ To you ^(A)first, God, having raised up His Servant Jesus, sent Him to bless you, ^(B)in turning away every one of you from your iniquities.”

^10 (A)but glory, honor, and peace to everyone who works what is good, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.

Israel’s Rejection Not Final

¹¹ I say then, have they stumbled that they should fall? Certainly not! But ^(A)through their ^[a]fall, to provoke them to ^(B)jealousy, salvation has come to the Gentiles. ¹² Now if their ^[b]fall is riches for the world, and their failure riches for the Gentiles, how much more their fullness!

¹³ For I speak to you Gentiles; inasmuch as ^(C)I am an apostle to the Gentiles, I magnify my ministry,

The Just Live by Faith

¹⁶ For ^(A)I am not ashamed of the gospel ^[a]of Christ, for ^(B)it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, ^(C)for the Jew first and also for the Greek.
