³⁸ “Therefore, my friends, I want you to know that through Jesus the forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you.^{(A) 39} Through him everyone who believes^(B) is set free from every sin, a justification you were not able to obtain under the law of Moses.^(C)

¹⁵ “Friends, why are you doing this? We too are only human,^(A) like you. We are bringing you good news,^(B) telling you to turn from these worthless things^(C) to the living God,^(D) who made the heavens and the earth^(E) and the sea and everything in them.^{(F) 16} In the past, he let^(G) all nations go their own way.^{(H) 17} Yet he has not left himself without testimony:^(I) He has shown kindness by giving you rain from heaven and crops in their seasons;^(J) he provides you with plenty of food and fills your hearts with joy.”^(K)

²⁴ “The God who made the world and everything in it^(A) is the Lord of heaven and earth^(B) and does not live in temples built by human hands.^{(C) 25} And he is not served by human hands, as if he needed anything. Rather, he himself gives everyone life and breath and everything else.^(D)
