³ So after they had fasted and prayed, they placed their hands on them^(A) and sent them off.^(B)

⁶ They presented these men to the apostles, who prayed^(A) and laid their hands on them.^(B)

²⁶ From Attalia they sailed back to Antioch,^(A) where they had been committed to the grace of God^(B) for the work they had now completed.^(C)

⁸ We ought therefore to show hospitality to such people so that we may work together for the truth.

² And the things you have heard me say^(A) in the presence of many witnesses^(B) entrust to reliable people who will also be qualified to teach others.

¹⁴ Do not neglect your gift, which was given you through prophecy^(A) when the body of elders^(B) laid their hands on you.^(C)

¹⁵ And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!”^[a](A)

² While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said,^(A) “Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work^(B) to which I have called them.”^(C)

⁶ They have told the church about your love. Please send them on their way^(A) in a manner that honors^(B) God.

Appeal for Loyalty to Paul and the Gospel

⁶ For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands.^(A)
