⁷ Suddenly an angel^(A) of the Lord appeared and a light shone in the cell. He struck Peter on the side and woke him up. “Quick, get up!” he said, and the chains fell off Peter’s wrists.^(B)

²⁶ Suddenly there was such a violent earthquake that the foundations of the prison were shaken.^(A) At once all the prison doors flew open,^(B) and everyone’s chains came loose.^(C)

¹⁹ But during the night an angel^(A) of the Lord opened the doors of the jail^(B) and brought them out.^(C)

¹⁵ With the coming of dawn, the angels urged Lot, saying, “Hurry! Take your wife and your two daughters who are here, or you will be swept away^(A) when the city is punished.^(B)”

¹⁶ When he hesitated, the men grasped his hand and the hands of his wife and of his two daughters^(C) and led them safely out of the city, for the Lord was merciful to them.^(D)
