27 Now in those days, (A)some prophets came down from Jerusalem to (B)Antioch. 28 And one of them named (C)Agabus stood up and indicated [a]by the Spirit that there was going to be a great famine (D)all over the [b]world. [c]And this took place in the reign of (E)Claudius. 29 And as any of (F)the disciples had means, each of them determined to send a contribution for the service of (G)the brothers living in Judea. 30 (H)And this they did, sending it [d]in charge of (I)Barnabas and Saul to the (J)elders.

27 Now in those days prophets came down from Jerusalem to Antioch. 28 And one of them named[a] Agabus stood up and[b] indicated by the Spirit that a great famine was about to come over the whole inhabited earth (which took place in the time of Claudius). 29 So from the disciples, according to their ability to give,[c] each one of them determined to send financial aid[d] for support to the brothers who lived in Judea, 30 which they also did, sending the aid[e] to the elders by the hand of Barnabas and Saul.
