Gentile Conversion and Baptism
44 While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit came down(A) on all those who heard the message. 45 The circumcised believers who had come with Peter were amazed because the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out even on the Gentiles.(B) 46 For they heard them speaking in tongues[a] and declaring the greatness of God.
Then Peter responded, 47 “Can anyone withhold water and prevent these people from being baptized, who have received the Holy Spirit just as we have?” (C) 48 He commanded them to be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ.(D) Then they asked him to stay for a few days.

Then Peter responded, 47 “(E)Surely no one can refuse the water for these to be baptized, who (F)have received the Holy Spirit just as we did, can he?” 48 And he (G)ordered them to be baptized (H)in the name of Jesus Christ. Then they asked him to stay on for a few days.
