⁵ Now ^(A)send men to Joppa, and send for Simon whose surname is Peter.

⁹ And a vision appeared to Paul in the night. A ^(A)man of Macedonia stood and pleaded with him, saying, “Come over to Macedonia and help us.”

⁷ And when there had been much dispute, Peter rose up and said to them: ^(A)“Men and brethren, you know that a good while ago God chose among us, that by my mouth the Gentiles should hear the word of the gospel and believe.

³² Send therefore to Joppa and call Simon here, whose surname is Peter. He is lodging in the house of Simon, a tanner, by the sea. ^[a]When he comes, he will speak to you.’

³⁸ And since Lydda was near Joppa, and the disciples had heard that Peter was there, they sent two men to him, imploring him not to delay in coming to them.

Dorcas Restored to Life

³⁶ At Joppa there was a certain disciple named ^[a]Tabitha, which is translated ^[b]Dorcas. This woman was full ^(A)of good works and charitable deeds which she did.

⁴² And he brought him to Jesus.

Now when Jesus looked at him, He said, “You are Simon the son of ^[a]Jonah. ^(A)You shall be called Cephas” (which is translated, ^[b]A Stone).
