⁴⁸ So he ordered them to be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. Then they invited him to stay for several days.^(A)

³⁸ Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ so that your sins may be forgiven, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.^(A)

¹⁶ (for as yet the Spirit had not come^[a] upon any of them; they had only been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus).^(A)

²⁷ As many of you as were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.^(A)

¹³ Has Christ been divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Or were you baptized in the name of Paul?^{(A) 14} I thank God^[a] that I baptized none of you except Crispus and Gaius,^{(B) 15} so that no one can say that you were baptized in my name. ¹⁶ I did baptize also the household of Stephanas; beyond that, I do not know whether I baptized anyone else.^{(C) 17} For Christ did not send me to baptize but to proclaim the gospel—and not with eloquent wisdom, so that the cross of Christ might not be emptied of its power.^(D)

⁵ On hearing this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.

¹² But when they believed Philip, who was proclaiming the good news about the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women.^(A)

⁴⁰ So when the Samaritans came to him, they asked him to stay with them, and he stayed there two days.

¹⁵ When she and her household were baptized, she urged us, saying, “If you have judged me to be faithful to the Lord, come and stay at my home.” And she prevailed upon us.^(A)
