⁴² And ^(A)He commanded us to preach to the people, and to testify ^(B)that it is He who was ordained by God to be Judge ^(C)of the living and the dead.

⁵ They will give an account to Him who is ready ^(A)to judge the living and the dead.

Preach the Word

4 I ^(A)charge you ^[a]therefore before God and the Lord Jesus Christ, ^(B)who will judge the living and the dead ^[b]at His appearing and His kingdom:

⁹ For ^(A)to this end Christ died ^[a]and rose and lived again, that He might be ^(B)Lord of both the dead and the living. ¹⁰ But why do you judge your brother? Or why do you show contempt for your brother? For ^(C)we shall all stand before the judgment seat of ^[b]Christ.

^10 (A)For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, ^(B)that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.

³¹ because He has appointed a day on which ^(A)He will judge the world in righteousness by the Man whom He has ordained. He has given assurance of this to all by ^(B)raising Him from the dead.”

^19 (A)Go ^[a]therefore and ^(B)make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, ^20 (C)teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am ^(D)with you always, even to the end of the age.” ^[b]Amen.

Jesus Testifies to the Churches

¹² “And behold, I am coming quickly, and ^(A)My reward is with Me, ^(B)to give to every one according to his work.

The Great White Throne Judgment

¹¹ Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat on it, from whose face ^(A)the earth and the heaven fled away. ^(B)And there was found no place for them. ¹² And I saw the dead, ^(C)small and great, standing before ^[a]God, ^(D)and books were opened. And another ^(E)book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged ^(F)according to their works, by the things which were written in the books. ¹³ The sea gave up the dead who were in it, ^(G)and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. ^(H)And they were judged, each one according to his works. ¹⁴ Then ^(I)Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. ^(J)This is the second ^[b]death. ¹⁵ And anyone not found written in the Book of Life ^(K)was cast into the lake of fire.
