³⁸ how ^(A)God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who ^(B)went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, ^(C)for God was with Him. ³⁹ And we are ^(D)witnesses of all things which He did both in the land of the Jews and in Jerusalem, whom ^[a]they ^(E)killed by hanging on a tree. ⁴⁰ Him ^(F)God raised up on the third day, and showed Him openly, ^41 (G)not to all the people, but to witnesses chosen before by God, even to us ^(H)who ate and drank with Him after He arose from the dead. ⁴² And ^(I)He commanded us to preach to the people, and to testify ^(J)that it is He who was ordained by God to be Judge ^(K)of the living and the dead.

²⁹ Therefore, since we are the offspring of God, ^(A)we ought not to think that the Divine Nature is like gold or silver or stone, something shaped by art and man’s devising. ³⁰ Truly, ^(B)these times of ignorance God overlooked, but ^(C)now commands all men everywhere to repent, ³¹ because He has appointed a day on which ^(D)He will judge the world in righteousness by the Man whom He has ordained. He has given assurance of this to all by ^(E)raising Him from the dead.”
