³⁶ The word which God sent to the ^[a]children of Israel, ^(A)preaching peace through Jesus Christ—^(B)He is Lord of all— ³⁷ that word you know, which was proclaimed throughout all Judea, and ^(C)began from Galilee after the baptism which John preached: ³⁸ how ^(D)God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who ^(E)went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, ^(F)for God was with Him.

¹⁴ Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, ^(A)anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. ¹⁵ And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. ^(B)And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. ^16 [a]Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. ^(C)The effective, ^[b]fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.

¹⁷ And these ^(A)signs will follow those who ^[a]believe: ^(B)In My name they will cast out demons; ^(C)they will speak with new tongues; ^18 (D)they^[b] will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; ^(E)they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”
