²⁰ Now get up, go down, and go with them without hesitation, for I have sent them.”

⁷ After there had been much debate, Peter stood up and said to them, “My brothers,^[a] you know that in the early days God made a choice among you, that I should be the one through whom the gentiles would hear the message of the good news and become believers.^{(A) 8} And God, who knows the human heart, testified to them by giving them the Holy Spirit, just as he did to us,^{(B) 9} and in cleansing their hearts by faith he has made no distinction between them and us.^(C)

⁹ For I am going to raise^[a] my hand against them, and they shall become plunder for their own slaves. Then you will know that the Lord of hosts has sent me.^{(A) 10} Sing and rejoice, O daughter Zion! For I will come and dwell in your midst, says the Lord.^{(B) 11} Many nations shall join themselves to the Lord on that day and shall be my people, and I will dwell in your midst. And you shall know that the Lord of hosts has sent me to you.

The Apostles Preach in Cyprus

⁴ So, being sent out by the Holy Spirit, they went down to Seleucia, and from there they sailed to Cyprus.^(A)
