²⁰ So get up and go downstairs. Do not hesitate to go with them, for I have sent them.”^(A)

⁷ After much discussion, Peter got up and addressed them: “Brothers, you know that some time ago God made a choice among you that the Gentiles might hear from my lips the message of the gospel and believe.^{(A) 8} God, who knows the heart,^(B) showed that he accepted them by giving the Holy Spirit to them,^(C) just as he did to us. ⁹ He did not discriminate between us and them,^(D) for he purified their hearts by faith.^(E)

⁹ I will surely raise my hand against them so that their slaves will plunder them.^[a](A) Then you will know that the Lord Almighty has sent me.^(B)

¹⁰ “Shout^(C) and be glad, Daughter Zion.^(D) For I am coming,^(E) and I will live among you,”^(F) declares the Lord.^{(G) 11} “Many nations will be joined with the Lord in that day and will become my people.^(H) I will live among you and you will know that the Lord Almighty has sent me to you.^(I)

On Cyprus

⁴ The two of them, sent on their way by the Holy Spirit,^(A) went down to Seleucia and sailed from there to Cyprus.^(B)
