¹⁰ He became hungry and wanted something to eat, and while the meal was being prepared, he fell into a trance.^(A)

¹⁷ “When I returned to Jerusalem^(A) and was praying at the temple, I fell into a trance^(B)

² At once I was in the Spirit,^(A) and there before me was a throne in heaven^(B) with someone sitting on it. ³ And the one who sat there had the appearance of jasper^(C) and ruby.^(D) A rainbow^(E) that shone like an emerald^(F) encircled the throne.

¹⁰ On the Lord’s Day^(A) I was in the Spirit,^(B) and I heard behind me a loud voice like a trumpet,^(C)

² I know a man in Christ^(A) who fourteen years ago was caught up^(B) to the third heaven.^(C) Whether it was in the body or out of the body I do not know—God knows.^{(D) 3} And I know that this man—whether in the body or apart from the body I do not know, but God knows— ⁴ was caught up^(E) to paradise^(F) and heard inexpressible things, things that no one is permitted to tell.
