⁷ But He said to them, “It is not for you to know periods of time or appointed times which ^(A)the Father has set by His own authority; ⁸ but you will receive power ^(B)when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be ^(C)My witnesses both in Jerusalem and in all Judea, and ^(D)Samaria, and as far as ^(E)the remotest part of the earth.”

The Ascension

⁹ And after He had said these things, ^(F)He was lifted up while they were watching, and a cloud took Him up, out of their sight. ¹⁰ And as they were gazing intently into the sky while He was going, then behold, ^(G)two men in white clothing stood beside them, ¹¹ and they said, “^(H)Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into the sky? This Jesus, who ^(I)has been taken up from you into heaven, will ^(J)come in the same way as you have watched Him go into heaven.”

¹⁶ For the Lord ^(A)Himself ^(B)will descend from heaven with a ^[a](C)shout, with the voice of ^(D)the archangel and with the ^(E)trumpet of God, and ^(F)the dead in Christ will rise first. ¹⁷ Then ^(G)we who are alive, who remain, will be ^(H)caught up together with them ^(I)in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always ^(J)be with the Lord.

⁶ Then I heard something like ^(A)the voice of a great multitude and like ^(B)the sound of many waters, and like the ^(C)sound of mighty peals of thunder, saying,

“^(D)Hallelujah! For the ^(E)Lord our God, the Almighty, reigns.

Marriage of the Lamb

⁷ Let’s rejoice and be glad and ^(F)give the glory to Him, because ^(G)the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His ^[a](H)bride has prepared herself.” ⁸ It was given to her to clothe herself in ^(I)fine linen, bright and clean; for the fine linen is the ^(J)righteous acts of the ^[b]saints.

⁹ Then ^(K)he *said to me, “^(L)Write: ‘^(M)Blessed are those who are invited to the wedding feast of the Lamb.’” And he *said to me, “^(N)These are the true words of God.” ¹⁰ Then ^(O)I fell at his feet to worship him. ^(P)But he *said to me, “^[c]Do not do that; I am a ^(Q)fellow servant of yours and your brothers and sisters who ^(R)hold the testimony of Jesus; worship God! For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.”

The Coming of Christ

¹¹ And I saw ^(S)heaven opened, and behold, a ^(T)white horse, and He who sat on it is called ^(U)Faithful and True, and in ^(V)righteousness He judges and wages war. ¹² His ^(W)eyes are a flame of fire, and on His head are many ^(X)crowns; and He has a ^(Y)name written on Him which no one knows except Himself. ¹³ He is clothed with a ^(Z)robe dipped in blood, and His name is called ^(AA)The Word of God. ¹⁴ And the armies which are in heaven, clothed in ^(AB)fine linen, ^(AC)white and clean, were following Him on white horses. ^15 (AD)From His mouth comes a sharp sword, so that ^(AE)with it He may strike down the nations, and He will ^[d](AF)rule them with a rod of iron; and ^(AG)He treads the ^[e]wine press of the fierce wrath of God, the Almighty. ¹⁶ And on His robe and on His thigh He has ^(AH)a name written: “^(AI)KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.”
