Acts 1:4-8
1599 Geneva Bible
4 (A)And when he had [a]gathered them together, he commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the promise of the Father, (B)which said he, ye have heard of me.
5 (C)For John indeed baptized with water, but ye shall be baptized [b]with the holy Ghost within these few days.
6 [c]When they therefore were come together they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time [d]restore the kingdom to Israel?
7 And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times, or the [e]seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power.
8 (D)But ye shall receive power of the holy Ghost, when he shall come on you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
