¹² Then the apostles returned to Jerusalem^(A) from the hill called the Mount of Olives,^(B) a Sabbath day’s walk^[a] from the city.

⁵² Then they worshiped him and returned to Jerusalem with great joy.

Jesus Comes to Jerusalem as King^(A)(B)

21 As they approached Jerusalem and came to Bethphage on the Mount of Olives,^(C) Jesus sent two disciples,

⁵⁰ When he had led them out to the vicinity of Bethany,^(A) he lifted up his hands and blessed them.

¹⁸ Now Bethany^(A) was less than two miles^[a] from Jerusalem,

³⁷ Each day Jesus was teaching at the temple,^(A) and each evening he went out^(B) to spend the night on the hill called the Mount of Olives,^(C)

³⁰ When they had sung a hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives.^(A)

³ As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives,^(A) the disciples came to him privately. “Tell us,” they said, “when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming^(B) and of the end of the age?”^(C)

⁴ On that day his feet will stand on the Mount of Olives,^(A) east of Jerusalem, and the Mount of Olives will be split^(B) in two from east to west, forming a great valley, with half of the mountain moving north and half moving south.
