²⁷ But ^(A)Barnabas took him and brought him to the apostles and recounted to them how he had ^(B)seen the Lord on the road, and that He had talked to him, and how ^(C)at Damascus he had ^(D)spoken out boldly in the name of Jesus.

²² Now the ^[a]news about them ^[b]reached the ears of the church at Jerusalem, and they sent ^(A)Barnabas off ^[c]to ^(B)Antioch,

^30 (A)And this they did, sending it ^[a]in charge of ^(B)Barnabas and Saul to the ^(C)elders.

²⁵ And ^(A)Barnabas and ^(B)Saul ^[a]returned ^[b]to Jerusalem, ^(C)fulfilling their ministry, taking along with them ^(D)John, who was also called Mark.

Barnabas and Saul Sent from Antioch by the Holy Spirit

13 Now there were at ^(E)Antioch, in the ^(F)church that was there, ^(G)prophets and ^(H)teachers: ^(I)Barnabas, and Simeon who was called Niger, and Lucius of ^(J)Cyrene, and Manaen who had been brought up with ^(K)Herod the tetrarch, and Saul. ² And while they were ministering to the Lord and fasting, ^(L)the Holy Spirit said, “Set apart for Me ^(M)Barnabas and Saul for ^(N)the work to which I have called them.”

⁷ who was with the ^(A)proconsul, Sergius Paulus, a man of intelligence. This man summoned Barnabas and Saul and sought to hear the word of God.

2 Then after fourteen years I ^(A)went up again to Jerusalem with ^(B)Barnabas, taking ^(C)Titus along also.

⁹ and recognizing ^(A)the grace that had been given to me, ^(B)James and ^(C)Cephas and ^[a]John, who were ^(D)reputed to be ^(E)pillars, gave to me and ^(F)Barnabas the ^(G)right ^[b]hand of fellowship, so that we might ^(H)go to the Gentiles and they to the circumcised.

¹³ And the rest of the Jews joined him in hypocrisy, with the result that even ^(A)Barnabas was carried away by their hypocrisy.
