² and requested letters^(A) from him to the synagogues in Damascus, so that if he found any men or women who belonged to the Way,^(B) he might bring them as prisoners to Jerusalem.

⁴ I persecuted this Way^(A) to the death, binding and putting both men and women in jail,^(B)

¹⁴ But I confess this to you: I worship my fathers’ God according to the Way,^(A) which they call a sect, believing all the things that are written in the Law and in the Prophets.^(B)
