¹⁷ Then Ananias went to the house and entered it. Placing his hands on^(A) Saul, he said, “Brother Saul, the Lord—Jesus, who appeared to you on the road as you were coming here—has sent me so that you may see again and be filled with the Holy Spirit.”^(B)

¹⁷ Then Peter and John placed their hands on them,^(A) and they received the Holy Spirit.^(B)

⁴ All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit^(A) and began to speak in other tongues^[a](B) as the Spirit enabled them.

¹² “A man named Ananias came to see me.^(A) He was a devout observer of the law and highly respected by all the Jews living there.^{(B) 13} He stood beside me and said, ‘Brother Saul, receive your sight!’ And at that very moment I was able to see him.

¹⁴ “Then he said: ‘The God of our ancestors^(C) has chosen you to know his will and to see^(D) the Righteous One^(E) and to hear words from his mouth.

⁶ They presented these men to the apostles, who prayed^(A) and laid their hands on them.^(B)
