9 Now a certain man named Simon had previously practiced magic in the city and amazed the people of Samaria, saying that he was someone great.(A) 10 All of them, from the least to the greatest, listened to him eagerly, saying, “This man is the power of God that is called Great.”(B) 11 And they listened eagerly to him because for a long time he had amazed them with his magic. 12 But when they believed Philip, who was proclaiming the good news about the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women.(C) 13 Even Simon himself believed. After being baptized, he stayed constantly with Philip and was amazed when he saw the signs and great miracles that took place.(D)

9 Now a man named Simon had previously been practicing (A)magic in the city and astonishing the people of Samaria, (B)claiming to be someone great; 10 and all the people, from small to great, were paying attention to him, saying, “(C)This man is the Power of God that is called Great.” 11 And they were paying attention to him because for a long time he had astounded them with his (D)magic arts. 12 But when they believed Philip (E)as he was preaching the good news about the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ, both men and women were being (F)baptized. 13 Now even Simon himself believed; and after being baptized, he continued on with Philip, and as he observed (G)signs and (H)great miracles taking place, he was repeatedly amazed.

9 Now for some time a man named Simon had practiced sorcery(A) in the city and amazed all the people of Samaria. He boasted that he was someone great,(B) 10 and all the people, both high and low, gave him their attention and exclaimed, “This man is rightly called the Great Power of God.”(C) 11 They followed him because he had amazed them for a long time with his sorcery. 12 But when they believed Philip as he proclaimed the good news of the kingdom of God(D) and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized,(E) both men and women. 13 Simon himself believed and was baptized. And he followed Philip everywhere, astonished by the great signs and miracles(F) he saw.
