26 (A)On the following day he appeared to them as they were fighting together, and he tried to reconcile them in peace, saying, ‘Men, you are brethren, why do you injure one another?’ 27 But the one who was injuring his neighbor pushed him away, saying, ‘(B)Who made you a ruler and judge over us? 28 (C)You do not mean to kill me as you killed the Egyptian yesterday, do you?’

26 The next day Moses came upon two Israelites who were fighting. He tried to reconcile them by saying, ‘Men, you are brothers; why do you want to hurt each other?’
27 “But the man who was mistreating the other pushed Moses aside and said, ‘Who made you ruler and judge over us?(A) 28 Are you thinking of killing me as you killed the Egyptian yesterday?’[a]
