²² So Moses learned the culture and wisdom of the Egyptians and became a powerful man—both as an intellectual and as a leader. ²³ When he reached the age of 40, his heart drew him to visit his kinfolk, our ancestors, the Israelites. ²⁴ During his visit, he saw one of our people being wronged, and he took sides with our people by killing an Egyptian.
