[a]As touching my life from my childhood, and what it was from the beginning among mine own nation at Jerusalem, know all the Jews,

Which [b]knew me heretofore, even from my [c]Elders (if they would testify) that after the [d]most straight sect of our religion, I lived a Pharisee.

[e]And now I stand and am accused for the hope of the promise made of God unto our fathers.
