21st Century King James Version
3 especially because I know thee to be expert in all customs and questions which are among the Jews. Therefore I beseech thee to hear me patiently.
4 “My manner of life from my youth, which was from the first among mine own nation at Jerusalem, is known to all the Jews.
5 They knew me from the beginning, if they would testify, that according to the strictest sect of our religion, I lived as a Pharisee.

3 and especially so because you are well acquainted with all the Jewish customs(A) and controversies.(B) Therefore, I beg you to listen to me patiently.
4 “The Jewish people all know the way I have lived ever since I was a child,(C) from the beginning of my life in my own country, and also in Jerusalem. 5 They have known me for a long time(D) and can testify, if they are willing, that I conformed to the strictest sect(E) of our religion, living as a Pharisee.(F)
