14 But this I confess to you, that according to (A)the Way, which they call (B)a sect, (C)I worship (D)the God of our fathers, believing everything (E)laid down by the Law and written in the Prophets, 15 (F)having (G)a hope in God, which these men themselves accept, that there will be (H)a resurrection (I)of both the just and the unjust. 16 So I always (J)take pains to have a (K)clear conscience toward both God and man. 17 Now (L)after several years (M)I came to bring alms to (N)my nation and to present (O)offerings. 18 While I was doing this, they found me (P)purified in the temple, without any crowd or tumult. But (Q)some Jews from Asia— 19 (R)they ought to be here before you and to make an accusation, should they have anything against me.

14 However, I admit that I worship the God of our ancestors(A) as a follower of the Way,(B) which they call a sect.(C) I believe everything that is in accordance with the Law and that is written in the Prophets,(D) 15 and I have the same hope in God as these men themselves have, that there will be a resurrection(E) of both the righteous and the wicked.(F) 16 So I strive always to keep my conscience clear(G) before God and man.

17 “After an absence of several years, I came to Jerusalem to bring my people gifts for the poor(H) and to present offerings. 18 I was ceremonially clean(I) when they found me in the temple courts doing this. There was no crowd with me, nor was I involved in any disturbance.(J) 19 But there are some Jews from the province of Asia,(K) who ought to be here before you and bring charges if they have anything against me.(L)
