12 “And (A)one Ananias, a devout man (B)according to the law, (C)well spoken of by all the Jews who lived there, 13 (D)came to me, and standing by me said to me, ‘Brother Saul, receive your sight.’ And (E)at that very hour I received my sight and saw him. 14 And he said, (F)‘The God of our fathers (G)appointed you to know his will, (H)to see (I)the Righteous One and (J)to hear a voice from his mouth; 15 for (K)you will be a witness for him to everyone of what (L)you have seen and heard. 16 And now why do you wait? (M)Rise and be baptized and (N)wash away your sins, (O)calling on his name.’

17 (P)“When I had returned to Jerusalem and (Q)was praying in the temple, I fell into (R)a trance 18 and saw him saying to me, (S)‘Make haste and get out of Jerusalem quickly, because they will not accept your testimony about me.’

14 “Then he said: ‘The God of our ancestors(C) has chosen you to know his will and to see(D) the Righteous One(E) and to hear words from his mouth. 15 You will be his witness(F) to all people of what you have seen(G) and heard. 16 And now what are you waiting for?
