²³ except that ^(A)the Holy Spirit solemnly ^(B)testifies to me in every city, saying that ^(C)chains and afflictions await me.

¹¹ And coming to us, he ^(A)took Paul’s belt and bound his own feet and hands, and said, “This ^(B)is what the Holy Spirit says: ‘In this way the Jews at Jerusalem will ^(C)bind the man who owns this belt and ^(D)deliver him into the hands of the Gentiles.’”

²⁹ Therefore those who were about to ^(A)examine him immediately withdrew from him; and the commander also ^(B)was afraid when he learned that he was a Roman, and because he had ^(C)bound him.

²⁹ And Paul said, “I would pray to God, that whether ^[a]in a short or long time, not only you, but also all who hear me this day, might become such as I am, except for these ^(A)chains.”

²⁰ For this reason, therefore, I ^[a]requested to see you and to speak with you, for I am wearing ^(A)this chain for ^(B)the sake of the hope of Israel.”

²⁰ for which I am an ^(A)ambassador ^(B)in ^[a]chains—so that ^[b]in proclaiming it I may speak ^(C)boldly, ^(D)as I ought to speak.

¹⁶ The Lord give mercy to ^(A)the house of Onesiphorus, for he often refreshed me and ^(B)was not ashamed of my ^[a](C)chains,

^9 [a]for which I ^(A)endure hardship even to ^(B)chains as a ^(C)criminal. But ^(D)the word of God ^(E)has not been chained.
