The Fellowship of the Believers

42 And (A)they devoted themselves to the apostles' (B)teaching and the (C)fellowship, to (D)the breaking of bread and the prayers. 43 And awe[a] came upon every soul, and (E)many wonders and signs were being done through the apostles. 44 And all who believed were together and (F)had all things in common. 45 And (G)they were selling their possessions and belongings and distributing the proceeds to all, as any had need. 46 And day by day, (H)attending the temple (I)together and (J)breaking bread in their homes, they received their food (K)with glad and generous hearts, 47 praising God and (L)having favor with all the people. But now (A)I am going to him who sent me, and (B)none of you asks me, ‘Where are you going?’ But because I have said these things to you, (C)sorrow has filled your heart. Nevertheless, I tell you the truth: it is to your advantage that I go away, for (D)if I do not go away, (E)the Helper will not come to you. But (F)if (G)I go, (H)I will send him to you. (I)And when he comes, he will (J)convict the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgment: concerning sin, (K)because they do not believe in me; 10 (L)concerning righteousness, (M)because I go to the Father, and you will see me no longer; 11 (N)concerning judgment, because the ruler of this world (O)is judged.

12 “I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. 13 When (P)the Spirit of truth comes, (Q)he will (R)guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but (S)whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come. 14 He will (T)glorify me, for he will take what is mine and declare it to you. 15 (U)All that the Father has is mine; (V)therefore I said that he will take what is mine and declare it to you.

but now I am going to him who sent me.(A) None of you asks me, ‘Where are you going?’(B) Rather, you are filled with grief(C) because I have said these things. But very truly I tell you, it is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Advocate(D) will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you.(E) When he comes, he will prove the world to be in the wrong about sin and righteousness and judgment: about sin,(F) because people do not believe in me; 10 about righteousness,(G) because I am going to the Father,(H) where you can see me no longer; 11 and about judgment, because the prince of this world(I) now stands condemned.

12 “I have much more to say to you, more than you can now bear.(J) 13 But when he, the Spirit of truth,(K) comes, he will guide you into all the truth.(L) He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. 14 He will glorify me because it is from me that he will receive what he will make known to you. 15 All that belongs to the Father is mine.(M) That is why I said the Spirit will receive from me what he will make known to you.”
