30 Being therefore a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins [a]he would set one upon his throne; 31 he foreseeing this spake of the resurrection of the Christ, that neither was he left unto Hades, nor did his flesh see corruption.

30 But he was a prophet and knew that God had promised him on oath that he would place one of his descendants on his throne.(A) 31 Seeing what was to come, he spoke of the resurrection of the Messiah, that he was not abandoned to the realm of the dead, nor did his body see decay.(B)
