Acts 2:22-36

22 “You that are Israelites,[a] listen to what I have to say: Jesus of Nazareth,[b] a man attested to you by God with deeds of power, wonders, and signs that God did through him among you, as you yourselves know— 23 this man, handed over to you according to the definite plan and foreknowledge of God, you crucified and killed by the hands of those outside the law. 24 But God raised him up, having freed him from death,[c] because it was impossible for him to be held in its power. 25 For David says concerning him,
‘I saw the Lord always before me,
for he is at my right hand so that I will not be shaken;
26 therefore my heart was glad, and my tongue rejoiced;
moreover my flesh will live in hope.
27 For you will not abandon my soul to Hades,
or let your Holy One experience corruption.
28 You have made known to me the ways of life;
you will make me full of gladness with your presence.’
29 “Fellow Israelites,[d] I may say to you confidently of our ancestor David that he both died and was buried, and his tomb is with us to this day. 30 Since he was a prophet, he knew that God had sworn with an oath to him that he would put one of his descendants on his throne. 31 Foreseeing this, David[e] spoke of the resurrection of the Messiah,[f] saying,
‘He was not abandoned to Hades,
nor did his flesh experience corruption.’
32 This Jesus God raised up, and of that all of us are witnesses. 33 Being therefore exalted at[g] the right hand of God, and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, he has poured out this that you both see and hear. 34 For David did not ascend into the heavens, but he himself says,
‘The Lord said to my Lord,
“Sit at my right hand,
35 until I make your enemies your footstool.”’
36 Therefore let the entire house of Israel know with certainty that God has made him both Lord and Messiah,[h] this Jesus whom you crucified.”

22 (A)«Uomini d’Israele, ascoltate queste parole! Gesù il Nazareno, uomo che Dio ha accreditato fra di voi mediante opere potenti, prodigi e segni che Dio fece per mezzo di lui tra di voi, come voi stessi ben sapete, 23 quest’uomo, quando vi fu dato nelle mani per il determinato consiglio e la prescienza di Dio, voi [lo prendeste e], per mano di iniqui, inchiodandolo sulla croce, lo uccideste; 24 ma Dio lo risuscitò, avendolo sciolto dagli angosciosi legami della morte, perché non era possibile che egli fosse da essa trattenuto. 25 Infatti Davide dice di lui:
“Io ho avuto il Signore continuamente davanti agli occhi, perché egli è alla mia destra, affinché io non sia smosso.
26 Per questo si è rallegrato il mio cuore, la mia lingua ha giubilato e anche la mia carne riposerà nella speranza;
27 perché tu non lascerai l’anima mia nell’Ades[a] e non permetterai che il tuo Santo subisca[b] la decomposizione.
28 Tu mi hai fatto conoscere le vie della vita. Tu mi riempirai di letizia con la tua presenza”[c].
29 Fratelli[d], si può ben dire liberamente riguardo al patriarca Davide che egli morì e fu sepolto; e la sua tomba è ancora al giorno d’oggi tra di noi. 30 Egli dunque, essendo profeta e sapendo che Dio gli aveva promesso con giuramento che sul suo trono avrebbe fatto sedere uno dei suoi discendenti[e], 31 previde la risurrezione di Cristo e ne parlò dicendo che non sarebbe stato lasciato[f] nel soggiorno dei morti[g], e che la sua carne non avrebbe subìto[h] la decomposizione. 32 Questo Gesù, Dio lo ha risuscitato; di ciò noi tutti siamo testimoni. 33 Egli dunque, essendo stato esaltato dalla destra di Dio[i] e avendo ricevuto dal Padre lo Spirito Santo promesso, ha sparso quello che ora vedete e udite. 34 Davide infatti non è salito in cielo; eppure egli stesso dice:
«Il Signore ha detto al mio Signore: “Siedi alla mia destra,
35 finché io abbia posto i tuoi nemici come sgabello dei tuoi piedi”»[j].
36 Sappia dunque con certezza tutta la casa d’Israele che Dio ha costituito Signore e Cristo quel Gesù che voi avete crocifisso».

22 Izráeli férfiak, hallgassatok rám! A Názáret városából való Jézus olyan férfi volt, akit Isten maga igazolt és ajánlott nektek azok által a csodák, erők és jelek által, amelyeket ő vitt véghez közöttetek Jézuson keresztül. Mindannyian láttátok ezeket a csodálatos dolgokat, és magatok is jól tudjátok, hogy mindez igaz. 23 Jézust a kezetekbe adták, ti pedig gonoszok segítségével keresztre feszítve megöltétek. Isten azonban előre tudta, hogy ez így lesz, mert minden az ő terve szerint történt. 24 Jézus elszenvedte a halál fájdalmát, de Isten feltámasztotta őt, mert lehetetlen volt, hogy a Halál fogva tartsa. 25 Hiszen Dávid is ezt mondja róla:
»Mindig az Örökkévalót látom magam előtt:
itt van a jobb oldalamon,
hogy biztonságban legyek.
26 Ezért örül a szívem,
és nyelvem boldogan szól.
Még testem is abban a reménységben él,
27 hogy nem hagysz a Halál birodalmában[a],
nem engeded, hogy Szented teste
a sírban pusztuljon el.
28 Megmutattad nekem az életre vezető ösvényeket,
közel jössz hozzám,
és betöltesz örömmel.«[b]
29 Testvéreim, nyíltan megmondhatom nektek, hogy Dávid, aki őseink közé tartozott, meghalt, eltemették, és a sírja itt van Jeruzsálemben mind a mai napig. 30 Ő azonban próféta volt, és tudta, hogy Isten megígérte neki, sőt meg is esküdött rá, hogy egyik leszármazottját teszi királlyá Dávid trónján.[c] 31 Mivel Dávid ezt előre látta, ezért a Messiás feltámadásáról beszélt, amikor azt mondta:
»Nem maradt a Halál birodalmában,
és teste nem pusztult el a sírban.«
32 Így tehát nem Dávid, hanem Jézus az, akit Isten feltámasztott a halálból! Erről mi mindnyájan tanúskodunk. 33 Azután Jézust a legmagasabb helyre emelte fel Isten: jobb keze felől maga mellé ültette. Ekkor Jézus megkapta az Atyától a megígért Szent Szellemet, akit most kiárasztott. Ez történik most a ti szemetek láttára, és ezt halljátok. 34 Hiszen nem Dávid ment fel a Mennybe, amint ő maga mondta:
»Így szólt az Örökkévaló az én Uramhoz:
Ülj mellém, a jobb oldalamra,
35 amíg ellenségeidet hatalmad alá[d] kényszerítem!«[e]
36 Ezért tudja meg Izráel egész népe, hogy Isten Úrrá és Messiássá tette azt a Jézust, akit ti a keresztfán megöltetek. Ehhez semmi kétség nem fér!”
