Acts 19:17-21

17 And this became known to all the residents of Ephesus, both Jews and Greeks. And fear fell upon them all, and (A)the name of the Lord Jesus was extolled. 18 Also many of those who were now believers came, (B)confessing and divulging their practices. 19 And a number of those who had practiced magic arts brought their books together and burned them in the sight of all. And they counted the value of them and found it came to fifty thousand pieces of silver. 20 So the word of the Lord (C)continued to increase and prevail mightily.

21 Now after these events Paul resolved in the Spirit (D)to pass through (E)Macedonia and Achaia and (F)go to Jerusalem, saying, “After I have been there, (G)I must also see Rome.”

17 When this became known to the Jews and Greeks living in Ephesus,(A) they were all seized with fear,(B) and the name of the Lord Jesus was held in high honor. 18 Many of those who believed now came and openly confessed what they had done. 19 A number who had practiced sorcery brought their scrolls together and burned them publicly. When they calculated the value of the scrolls, the total came to fifty thousand drachmas.[a] 20 In this way the word of the Lord(C) spread widely and grew in power.(D)
21 After all this had happened, Paul decided[b] to go to Jerusalem,(E) passing through Macedonia(F) and Achaia.(G) “After I have been there,” he said, “I must visit Rome also.”(H)
