²⁴ Now a Jew named ^(A)Apollos, an ^(B)Alexandrian by birth, ^[a]an eloquent man, arrived at ^(C)Ephesus; and he was mighty in the Scriptures.

¹² Now I mean this, that ^(A)each one of you is saying, “I am of Paul,” and “I of ^(B)Apollos,” and “I of ^(C)Cephas,” and “I of Christ.”

⁵ What then is Apollos? And what is Paul? ^(A)Servants through whom you believed, even ^(B)as the Lord gave to each one. ^6 (C)I planted, ^(D)Apollos watered, but ^(E)God was causing the growth. ⁷ So then neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but God who causes the growth. ⁸ Now he who plants and he who waters are one, but each will ^(F)receive his own ^[a]reward according to his own labor. ⁹ For we are God’s ^(G)fellow workers; you are God’s ^[b](H)field, God’s ^(I)building.

¹⁰ According to ^(J)the grace of God which was given to me, like a wise master builder ^(K)I laid a foundation, and ^(L)another is building on it. But each man must be careful how he builds on it. ¹¹ For no one can lay a ^(M)foundation other than the one which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. ¹² Now if anyone builds on the foundation with gold, silver, ^[c]precious stones, wood, hay, straw, ^13 (N)each man’s work will become evident, for ^(O)the day will indicate it because it is revealed with fire, and the fire itself will test ^[d]the quality of each man’s work. ¹⁴ If any man’s work which he has built on it remains, he will ^(P)receive a reward. ¹⁵ If any man’s work is burned up, he will suffer loss, but he himself will be saved, yet ^(Q)so as through fire.

^16 (R)Do you not know that ^(S)you are a ^[e]sanctuary of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? ¹⁷ If any man destroys the ^[f]sanctuary of God, God will destroy him, for the ^[g]sanctuary of God is holy, and ^[h]that is what you are.

^18 (T)Let no man deceive himself. ^(U)If any man among you thinks that he is wise in ^(V)this age, he must become foolish, so that he may become wise. ¹⁹ For ^(W)the wisdom of this world is foolishness before God. For it is written, “He is ^(X)the one who catches the wise in their craftiness”; ²⁰ and again, “^(Y)The Lord knows the reasonings of the wise, that they are useless.” ²¹ So then ^(Z)let no one boast in men. For ^(AA)all things belong to you, ^22 (AB)whether Paul or Apollos or Cephas or the world or ^(AC)life or death or things present or things to come; all things belong to you, ²³ and ^(AD)you belong to Christ, and ^(AE)Christ belongs to God.
