9 and after they had taken bail from Jason and the others, they let them go.

10 That very night the brothers and sisters sent Paul and Silas off to Beroea, and when they arrived they went to the Jewish synagogue.(A) 11 These Jews were more receptive than those in Thessalonica, for they welcomed the message very eagerly and examined the scriptures every day to see whether these things were so.(B)

10 As soon as it was night, the believers sent Paul and Silas(B) away to Berea.(C) On arriving there, they went to the Jewish synagogue.(D) 11 Now the Berean Jews were of more noble character than those in Thessalonica,(E) for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures(F) every day to see if what Paul said was true.(G)
