9 They made Jason and the others give them money. The officials did this to make sure they would return to the court. Then they let Jason and the others go.
Paul and Silas Are Sent to Berea
10 As soon as it was night, the believers sent Paul and Silas away to Berea. When they arrived, they went to the Jewish synagogue. 11 The Berean Jews were very glad to receive Paul’s message. They studied the Scriptures carefully every day. They wanted to see if what Paul said was true. So they were more noble than the Thessalonian Jews.

9 Then they made Jason(A) and the others post bond and let them go.
In Berea
10 As soon as it was night, the believers sent Paul and Silas(B) away to Berea.(C) On arriving there, they went to the Jewish synagogue.(D) 11 Now the Berean Jews were of more noble character than those in Thessalonica,(E) for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures(F) every day to see if what Paul said was true.(G)

9 And when they had taken security of Jason, and of the other, they let them go.
10 And the brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas by night unto Berea: who coming thither went into the synagogue of the Jews.
11 These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.
