Acts 17:27-29

27 so that they would search for God[a] and perhaps grope for him and find him—though indeed he is not far from each one of us. 28 For “In him we live and move and have our being”; as even some of your own poets have said,
“For we too are his offspring.”
29 Since we are God’s offspring, we ought not to think that the deity is like gold, or silver, or stone, an image formed by the art and imagination of mortals.

27 God did this so that they would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from any one of us.(A) 28 ‘For in him we live and move and have our being.’[a](B) As some of your own poets have said, ‘We are his offspring.’[b]
29 “Therefore since we are God’s offspring, we should not think that the divine being is like gold or silver or stone—an image made by human design and skill.(C)
