The Council at Jerusalem

15 ^(A)Some men came down from Judea and began teaching ^(B)the brethren, “Unless you are ^(C)circumcised according to ^(D)the custom of Moses, you cannot be saved.”

²¹ and they have been told about you, that you are ^(A)teaching all the Jews who are among the Gentiles to forsake Moses, telling them ^(B)not to circumcise their children nor to ^[a]walk according to ^(C)the customs.

^3 [a]especially because you are an expert in all ^(A)customs and ^[b]questions among the Jews; therefore I beg you to listen to me patiently.

¹⁷ After three days ^[a]Paul called together those who were ^(A)the leading men of the Jews, and when they came together, he began saying to them, “^(B)Brethren, ^(C)though I had done nothing against our people or ^(D)the customs of our ^[b]fathers, yet I was delivered as a prisoner from Jerusalem into the hands of the Romans.
