New International Version

⁴⁸When the Gentiles heard this, they were glad and honored the word of the Lord;^(A) and all who were appointed for eternal life believed.

²³But they had heard only, That he which persecuted us in times past now preacheth the faith which once he destroyed.

²³They only heard the report: “The man who formerly persecuted us is now preaching the faith^(A) he once tried to destroy.”^(B)

²⁴And they glorified God in me.

²⁴And they praised God^(A) because of me.
