Acts 13:46-47
Good News Translation
46 But Paul and Barnabas spoke out even more boldly: “It was necessary that the word of God should be spoken first to you. But since you reject it and do not consider yourselves worthy of eternal life, we will leave you and go to the Gentiles. 47 (A)For this is the commandment that the Lord has given us:
‘I have made you a light for the Gentiles,
so that all the world may be saved.’”

46 Then Paul and Barnabas answered them boldly: “We had to speak the word of God to you first.(A) Since you reject it and do not consider yourselves worthy of eternal life, we now turn to the Gentiles.(B) 47 For this is what the Lord has commanded us:

‘Go and say to this people:

25 They disagreed among themselves and began to leave after Paul had made this final statement: “The Holy Spirit spoke the truth to your ancestors when he said(A) through Isaiah the prophet:
26 “‘Go to this people and say,
“You will be ever hearing but never understanding;

27 For this people’s heart has become calloused;(B)
they hardly hear with their ears,
and they have closed their eyes.
Otherwise they might see with their eyes,
hear with their ears,

and turn, and I would heal them.’[a](C)
28 “Therefore I want you to know that God’s salvation(D) has been sent to the Gentiles,(E) and they will listen!”
