23 “From this man’s seed, in keeping with His promise, God brought to Israel a Savior[a]—Yeshua. 24 Before His coming, John had proclaimed an immersion of repentance to all the people of Israel. 25 As John was completing his service, he said, ‘What do you suppose me to be? I am not He. But behold, One is coming after me, whose sandal I’m not worthy to untie.’

23 “From this man’s descendants(A) God has brought to Israel the Savior(B) Jesus,(C) as he promised.(D) 24 Before the coming of Jesus, John preached repentance and baptism to all the people of Israel.(E) 25 As John was completing his work,(F) he said: ‘Who do you suppose I am? I am not the one you are looking for.(G) But there is one coming after me whose sandals I am not worthy to untie.’(H)
