19 he destroyed seven nations in the land of Canaan. Then God gave their land to the Israelis[a] as an inheritance 20 for about 450 years.
“After that, he gave them judges until the time of the prophet Samuel. 21 When they demanded a king, God gave them Kish’s son Saul, from the tribe of Benjamin, for 40 years.

19 and he overthrew seven nations in Canaan,(A) giving their land to his people(B) as their inheritance.(C) 20 All this took about 450 years.
“After this, God gave them judges(D) until the time of Samuel the prophet.(E) 21 Then the people asked for a king,(F) and he gave them Saul(G) son of Kish, of the tribe of Benjamin,(H) who ruled forty years.

20 And after that he gave unto them judges about the space of four hundred and fifty years, until Samuel the prophet.
21 And afterward they desired a king: and God gave unto them Saul the son of Cis, a man of the tribe of Benjamin, by the space of forty years.
