2 up to the day He was taken up, after He had given orders by the Ruach ha-Kodesh to the emissaries He had chosen. 3 To them He showed Himself to be alive after His suffering through many convincing proofs, appearing to them for forty days and speaking about the kingdom of God.
4 Now while staying with them, He commanded them not to leave Jerusalem, but to wait for what the Father promised—which, He said, “you heard from Me.

New International Version
2 until the day he was taken up to heaven,(A) after giving instructions(B) through the Holy Spirit to the apostles(C) he had chosen.(D) 3 After his suffering, he presented himself to them and gave many convincing proofs that he was alive. He appeared to them(E) over a period of forty days and spoke about the kingdom of God.(F) 4 On one occasion, while he was eating with them, he gave them this command: “Do not leave Jerusalem, but wait(G) for the gift my Father promised, which you have heard me speak about.(H)
