Healing the Beggar Who Was Unable to Walk
3 Now (A)Peter and John were going up to the temple at the [a]ninth hour, (B)the hour of prayer. 2 And (C)a man who had been unable to walk from [b]birth was being carried, whom they (D)used to set down every day at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, (E)in order for him to beg for charitable gifts from those entering the temple grounds. 3 When he saw (F)Peter and John about to go into the temple grounds, he began asking to receive a charitable gift. 4 But Peter, along with John, (G)looked at him intently and said, “Look at us!” 5 And he gave them his attention, expecting to receive something from them. 6 But Peter said, “I do not have silver and gold, but what I do have I give to you: (H)In the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene, walk!” 7 And grasping him by the right hand, he raised him up; and immediately his feet and his ankles were strengthened. 8 And (I)leaping up, he stood and began to walk; and he entered the temple with them, walking and leaping and praising God. 9 And (J)all the people saw him walking and praising God; 10 and they recognized him as being the very one who used to (K)sit at the Beautiful Gate of the temple to beg for charitable gifts, and they were filled with wonder and amazement at what had happened to him.
Peter’s Second Sermon
11 While he was clinging to (L)Peter and John, all the people ran together to them at the [c](M)portico named Solomon’s, completely astonished. 12 But when Peter saw this, he replied to the people, “Men of Israel, why are you amazed at this, or why are you staring at us, as though by our own power or godliness we had made him walk? 13 (N)The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, (O)the God of our fathers, has glorified His [d](P)Servant Jesus, the one whom (Q)you handed over and disowned in the presence of (R)Pilate, when he had (S)decided to release Him. 14 But you disowned (T)the Holy and Righteous One, and (U)asked for a murderer to be granted to you, 15 but put to death the [e](V)Prince of life, whom (W)God raised from the dead, [f]a fact to which we are (X)witnesses. 16 And on the basis of faith (Y)in His name, it is [g]the name of Jesus which has strengthened this man whom you see and know; and the faith which comes through Him has given him this perfect health in the presence of you all.
17 “And now, brothers, I know that you acted (Z)in ignorance, just as your (AA)rulers also did. 18 But the things which (AB)God previously announced by the mouths of all the prophets, (AC)that His [h]Christ would suffer, He has fulfilled in this way. 19 Therefore (AD)repent and return, so that your sins may be wiped away, in order that (AE)times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord; 20 and that He may send Jesus, the [i]Christ appointed for you, 21 (AF)whom heaven must receive until the [j]period of (AG)restoration of all things, about which (AH)God spoke by the mouths of His holy prophets from ancient times. 22 Moses said, ‘(AI)The Lord God will raise up for you a prophet like me from your countrymen; to Him you shall listen regarding everything He says to you. 23 (AJ)And it shall be that every (AK)soul that does not listen to that prophet (AL)shall be utterly destroyed from among the people.’ 24 And likewise, (AM)all the prophets who have spoken from Samuel and his successors onward, have also announced these days. 25 It is you who are (AN)the sons of the prophets and of the (AO)covenant which God ordained with your fathers, saying to Abraham, ‘(AP)And in your seed all the families of the earth shall be blessed.’ 26 God (AQ)raised up His [k]Servant for you (AR)first, and sent Him to bless you by turning every one of you from your wicked ways.”

6 (C)Naye Peetero n’agamba nti, “Effeeza ne zaabu sibirina, naye ka nkuwe ekyo kye nnina. Mu linnya lya Yesu Omunnazaaleesi Golokoka, otambule!” 7 Awo Peetero n’akwata omulema ku mukono ogwa ddyo n’amuyimusa, amangwago ebigere by’omusajja n’obukongovvule ne bifuna amaanyi, 8 (D)n’abuuka n’ayimirira n’atandika okutambula! N’ayingira nabo mu Yeekaalu ng’atambula era nga bw’abuuka ng’atendereza Katonda. 9 (E)Abantu bonna ne baamulaba ng’atambula, era ng’atendereza Katonda, 10 (F)ne bamutegeera nga ye wuuyo eyatuulanga ku mulyango gwa Yeekaalu oguyitibwa Omulyango Omulungi ng’asabiriza, ne bawuniikirira era ne beewuunya nnyo olw’ekyo ekimutuuseeko.

11 (G)Awo omusajja eyali omulema bwe yali ng’akyekutte ku Peetero ne Yokaana abantu bonna ne badduka okujja we baali ne bakuŋŋaanira mu kisasi kya Sulemaani, nga basamaaliridde. 12 Awo Peetero bwe yabalaba n’agamba abantu nti, “Abasajja Abayisirayiri, kiki ekibeewuunyisa? Era lwaki mututunuulira ng’abagamba nti obulungi bwaffe n’obuyinza bwaffe bye bitambuzza omusajja ono? 13 (H)Katonda wa Ibulayimu, ne Isaaka, ne Yakobo, era Katonda wa bajjajjaffe ffenna yagulumiza omuweereza we Yesu, gwe mwawaayo ne mu mwegaanira mu maaso ga Piraato newaakubadde nga ye yali amaliridde okumusumulula, 14 (I)naye mmwe ne mwegaana omutuukirivu era omutukuvu, ne musaba babateere omutemu. 15 (J)Bwe mutyo ne mutta aleeta obulamu; oyo ye Katonda yamuzuukiza mu bafu, era ffe bajulirwa. 16 Olw’okukkiriza mu linnya lye, omusajja ono, mwenna gwe mulaba era gwe mumanyi aweereddwa amaanyi mu linnya lye, era okukkiriza mu ye kwe kuwadde omusajja ono obulamu obutuukiridde nga mwenna bwe mulaba.
17 (K)“Kale kaakano, abooluganda, mmanyi nga kye mwakola mwakikola mu butamanya, era n’abakulembeze bammwe nabo bwe batyo. 18 (L)Kyokka Katonda yali atuukiriza ebyo bannabbi bonna bye baayogera nti Kristo we ateekwa okubonaabona mu ngeri eyo. 19 (M)Noolwekyo mwenenye, mukyuke, mulyoke mugibweko ebibi byammwe, 20 mulyoke muwummulire mu maaso ga Mukama, naye abaweereze Yesu, ye Kristo eyalangirirwa gye muli edda, 21 (N)eyagwanyizibwa okutwalibwa mu ggulu okutuusa ekiseera nga kituuse ebintu byonna ne bizzibwa obuggya Katonda bye yayogerera edda mu bannabbi be abatukuvu. 22 (O)Weewaawo Musa yagamba nti, ‘Mukama Katonda wammwe alibayimusiza nnabbi ali nga nze, gw’aliggya mu baganda bammwe. Muwulirizanga buli ky’alibagamba. 23 (P)Ataliwuliriza nnabbi oyo abantu balimuzikiririza ddala.’
24 (Q)“Ne bannabbi bonna okuviira ddala ku Samwiri n’abo abaamuddirira bonna abaayogera nabo baalangirira olunaku luno. 25 (R)Mmwe bazzukulu ba bannabbi abo, era ab’endagaano Katonda gye yalagaana ne bajjajjammwe ng’agamba Ibulayimu nti, ‘Mu zzadde lyo abantu bonna ab’oku nsi mwe baliweerwa omukisa.’ 26 (S)Bw’atyo Katonda bwe yalondawo okubatumira Omuweereza we abawe omukisa, buli omu ku mmwe ng’akyuka okuva mu bibi bye.”

Peter Heals a Man Lame From Birth In The Name of Jesus Christ The Nazarene
3 Now Peter and John were going up to the temple at the hour of prayer, the ninth[a] hour. 2 And a certain man being lame from his mother’s womb was being carried, whom they were putting daily at the gate of the temple being called “Beautiful”, that he might be asking-for alms[b] from the ones coming into the temple— 3 who, having seen Peter and John being about to go into the temple, was asking to receive alms. 4 And Peter, along with John, having looked-intently at him, said, “Look at us!” 5 And the one was fixing-his-attention-on them, expecting to receive something from them. 6 And Peter said, “There is no silver and gold with me. But what I have, this I give to you— in the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene, arise and walk”. 7 And having seized him by the right hand, he raised him. And at once his feet and ankles were made-strong[c]. 8 And leaping-up, he stood and was walking-around. And he entered with them into the temple, walking and leaping and praising God. 9 And all the people saw him walking and praising God. 10 And they were recognizing him— that he was the one sitting for alms at the Beautiful Gate of the temple. And they were filled with wonder and astonishment at the thing having happened to him.
A Crowd Comes Together, And Peter Speaks To Them:
11 And while he was holding-on-to Peter and John, all the people ran-together to them at the portico being called “Solomon’s”, struck-with-wonder. 12 And having seen it, Peter responded to the people—
God Raised Jesus, The One You Denied And Killed. And Jesus Healed This Man
“Men, Israelites, why are you marveling at this? Or why are you looking-intently at us as-if we caused him to walk by our own power or godliness? 13 The God of Abraham and the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob, the God of our fathers— He glorified His servant Jesus, Whom you indeed handed-over and denied in the presence of Pilate, that one having determined[d] to release Him. 14 But you denied the Holy and Righteous One, and asked that a man who was a murderer be granted to you. 15 And you killed the Author[e] of life, Whom God raised from the dead— of which we are witnesses. 16 And on-the-basis-of [our] faith in His name, His name made this one strong whom you see and know. And the faith that comes through Him gave him this wholeness in front of all of you.
The Prophets Said The Christ Would Suffer, Which God Now Fulfilled. Therefore Repent
17 “And now, brothers, I know that you acted in-accordance-with[f] ignorance, just as also your rulers. 18 But God fulfilled in this manner the things which He announced-beforehand through the mouth of all the prophets— that His Christ would suffer. 19 Therefore repent and turn-back so that your sins may be wiped-out[g], 20 so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, and He may send-forth the Christ[h] having been appointed[i] for you— Jesus, 21 Whom it-is-necessary[j] that heaven receive until the times of restoration of all things, of which God spoke through the mouth of His holy prophets from the past age.
Moses And The Prophets Announced This Day. God Has Sent Jesus To You First
22 “Moses said [in Deut 18:15-19] that ‘The Lord your God will raise-up a prophet for you from your brothers like me. You shall listen-to[k] Him in relation to all that He says to you. 23 And it will be that every soul who does not listen-to that prophet will be utterly-destroyed out of the people’. 24 And[l] indeed all the prophets from Samuel and his successors who spoke also announced these days. 25 You are the sons of the prophets, and of the covenant which God covenanted with your fathers, saying to Abraham [in Gen 22:18], ‘And all the families of the earth will be blessed in your seed’. 26 God, having raised-up His Servant, sent Him forth to you first— blessing you in[m] turning-away each of you from your evil-ways”.
