Amos 1:11-2:5

New International Version

¹¹This is what the Lord says:

“For three sins of Edom,^(A)
    even for four, I will not relent.
Because he pursued his brother with a sword^(B)
    and slaughtered the women of the land,
because his anger raged continually
    and his fury flamed unchecked,^(C)
¹²I will send fire on Teman^(D)
    that will consume the fortresses of Bozrah.^(E)”

¹³This is what the Lord says:

“For three sins of Ammon,^(F)
    even for four, I will not relent.
Because he ripped open the pregnant women^(G) of Gilead
    in order to extend his borders,
¹⁴I will set fire to the walls of Rabbah^(H)
    that will consume^(I) her fortresses
amid war cries^(J) on the day of battle,
    amid violent winds^(K) on a stormy day.
¹⁵Her king^[a] will go into exile,
    he and his officials together,^(L)”
says the Lord.^(M)

2 This is what the Lord says:

“For three sins of Moab,^(N)
    even for four, I will not relent.
Because he burned to ashes^(O)
    the bones of Edom’s king,
²I will send fire on Moab
    that will consume the fortresses of Kerioth.^[b]^(P)
Moab will go down in great tumult
    amid war cries^(Q) and the blast of the trumpet.^(R)
³I will destroy her ruler^(S)
    and kill all her officials with him,”^(T)
says the Lord.^(U)

⁴This is what the Lord says:

“For three sins of Judah,^(V)
    even for four, I will not relent.
Because they have rejected the law^(W) of the Lord
    and have not kept his decrees,^(X)
because they have been led astray^(Y) by false gods,^[c]^(Z)
    the gods^[d] their ancestors followed,^(AA)
⁵I will send fire^(AB) on Judah
    that will consume the fortresses^(AC) of Jerusalem.^(AD)”
