Mô-áp
2 Chúa phán thế nầy,
“Vì tội của Mô-áp nặng gấp ba gấp bốn lần, nên Ta sẽ chẳng quay mặt đi mà không phạt nó.
Vì nó đã đốt hài cốt vua Ê-đôm ra tro bụi,
2 Nên Ta sẽ sai một ngọn lửa đến trên Mô-áp;
Ngọn lửa ấy sẽ thiêu rụi các lâu đài của Kê-ri-ốt.
Mô-áp sẽ bị diệt vong trong cảnh hỗn loạn, giữa những tiếng gào thét giao tranh và những tiếng kèn xung trận.
3 Ta sẽ tiêu diệt kẻ cầm quyền phán xét khỏi nó, và diệt trừ tất cả các kẻ có quyền hành chung với kẻ ấy,”
Chúa phán.
Giu-đa
4 Chúa phán thế nầy,
“Vì tội của Giu-đa nặng gấp ba gấp bốn lần, nên Ta sẽ chẳng quay mặt đi mà không phạt nó.
Vì chúng đã loại bỏ Luật Pháp của Chúa và không vâng giữ các luật lệ Ngài,
Chúng đã để các thần tượng giả dối lừa gạt chúng đi sai lạc,
Ðó là các thần tượng giả dối mà tổ tiên chúng đã tin thờ,
5 Nên Ta sẽ sai một ngọn lửa đến trên Giu-đa;
Ngọn lửa ấy sẽ thiêu rụi các lâu đài của Giê-ru-sa-lem.”

6 Chúa phán thế nầy,
“Vì tội của I-sơ-ra-ên nặng gấp ba gấp bốn lần, nên Ta sẽ chẳng quay mặt đi mà không phạt nó.
Vì chúng đã bán đứng người công chính để lấy bạc,
Chúng đã bán người nghèo để lấy một đôi giày,
7 Chúng đã đạp đầu người nghèo vào bụi đất,
Chúng đã cướp công lý của người bị áp bức,
Tệ hơn nữa, hai cha con ăn nằm với một người phụ nữ,
Khiến cho danh thánh của Ta bị ô uế giữa các dân.
8 Chúng mặc những y phục của người ta cầm thế mà phủ phục trước bàn thờ các thần tượng của chúng;
Trong đền thờ các thần tượng của chúng, chúng dâng rượu tế mua bằng tiền lừa gạt người ta.
9 Dù vậy Ta đã phù hộ chúng bằng cách tiêu diệt dân A-mô-ri trước mặt chúng,
Ðó là dân cao lớn như cây bá hương và mạnh mẽ như cây sồi;
Trên mặt đất, Ta đã diệt trừ mọi trái; dưới mặt đất, Ta đã không cho một rễ nào được sống còn.
10 Ta đã đem các ngươi lên khỏi đất Ai-cập,
Ta đã dẫn dắt các ngươi bốn mươi năm trong đồng hoang và ban cho các ngươi xứ của dân A-mô-ri.
11 Ta đã nuôi dưỡng một số con trai các ngươi thành các tiên tri, một số người trẻ của các ngươi thành những người Na-xi-rê;
Hỡi dân I-sơ-ra-ên, có đúng như thế không?”
Chúa phán.
12 “Thế nhưng các ngươi đã bắt những người Na-xi-rê uống rượu,
Và đã ra lệnh cho các tiên tri rằng ‘Các ông không được nói tiên tri.’
13 Này, Ta sẽ ép các ngươi như chiếc xe chở đầy những bó lúa cán xuống mặt đường.
14 Do đó người nhanh lẹ sẽ không thoát chết,
Người mạnh mẽ sẽ không duy trì được sức lực,
Kẻ dũng mãnh sẽ không cứu được mạng sống mình,
15 Quân xạ tiễn sẽ không trụ được tại chỗ,
Các chiến sĩ chạy nhanh nhất cũng không chạy thoát,
Ngay cả những kỵ binh cỡi các chiến mã cũng không chạy thoát kịp để giữ mạng mình,
16 Thậm chí kẻ can đảm nhất giữa vòng các dũng sĩ sẽ chạy trốn trần truồng trong ngày ấy,”

Judgment on Israel
2 Thus says the Lord:
(A)“For three transgressions of Moab, and for four,
I will not turn away its punishment,
Because he (B)burned the bones of the king of Edom to lime.
2 But I will send a fire upon Moab,
And it shall devour the palaces of (C)Kerioth;
Moab shall die with tumult,
With shouting and trumpet sound.
3 And I will cut off (D)the judge from its midst,
And slay all its princes with him,”
Says the Lord.
Judgment on Judah
4 Thus says the Lord:
“For three transgressions of (E)Judah, and for four,
I will not turn away its punishment,
(F)Because they have despised the law of the Lord,
And have not kept His commandments.
(G)Their lies lead them astray,
Lies (H)which their fathers followed.
5 (I)But I will send a fire upon Judah,
And it shall devour the palaces of Jerusalem.”
Judgment on Israel
6 Thus says the Lord:
“For three transgressions of (J)Israel, and for four,
I will not turn away its punishment,
Because (K)they sell the righteous for silver,
And the (L)poor for a pair of sandals.
7 They [a]pant after the dust of the earth which is on the head of the poor,
And (M)pervert the way of the humble.
(N)A man and his father go in to the same girl,
(O)To defile My holy name.
8 They lie down (P)by every altar on clothes (Q)taken in pledge,
And drink the wine of [b]the condemned in the house of their god.
9 “Yet it was I who destroyed the (R)Amorite before them,
Whose height was like the (S)height of the cedars,
And he was as strong as the oaks;
Yet I (T)destroyed his fruit above
And his roots beneath.
10 Also it was (U)I who brought you up from the land of Egypt,
And (V)led you forty years through the wilderness,
To possess the land of the Amorite.
11 I raised up some of your sons as (W)prophets,
And some of your young men as (X)Nazirites.
Is it not so, O you children of Israel?”
Says the Lord.
12 “But you gave the Nazirites wine to drink,
And commanded the prophets (Y)saying,
‘Do not prophesy!’
13 “Behold,(Z) I am [c]weighed down by you,
As a cart full of sheaves [d]is weighed down.
14 (AA)Therefore [e]flight shall perish from the swift,
The strong shall not strengthen his power,
(AB)Nor shall the mighty [f]deliver himself;
15 He shall not stand who handles the bow,
The swift of foot shall not [g]escape,
Nor shall he who rides a horse deliver himself.
16 The most [h]courageous men of might
Shall flee naked in that day,”

2 Thus saith the Lord; For three transgressions of Moab, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because he burned the bones of the king of Edom into lime:
2 But I will send a fire upon Moab, and it shall devour the palaces of Kirioth: and Moab shall die with tumult, with shouting, and with the sound of the trumpet:
3 And I will cut off the judge from the midst thereof, and will slay all the princes thereof with him, saith the Lord.
4 Thus saith the Lord; For three transgressions of Judah, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they have despised the law of the Lord, and have not kept his commandments, and their lies caused them to err, after the which their fathers have walked:
5 But I will send a fire upon Judah, and it shall devour the palaces of Jerusalem.
6 Thus saith the Lord; For three transgressions of Israel, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they sold the righteous for silver, and the poor for a pair of shoes;
7 That pant after the dust of the earth on the head of the poor, and turn aside the way of the meek: and a man and his father will go in unto the same maid, to profane my holy name:
8 And they lay themselves down upon clothes laid to pledge by every altar, and they drink the wine of the condemned in the house of their god.
9 Yet destroyed I the Amorite before them, whose height was like the height of the cedars, and he was strong as the oaks; yet I destroyed his fruit from above, and his roots from beneath.
10 Also I brought you up from the land of Egypt, and led you forty years through the wilderness, to possess the land of the Amorite.
11 And I raised up of your sons for prophets, and of your young men for Nazarites. Is it not even thus, O ye children of Israel? saith the Lord.
12 But ye gave the Nazarites wine to drink; and commanded the prophets, saying, Prophesy not.
13 Behold, I am pressed under you, as a cart is pressed that is full of sheaves.
14 Therefore the flight shall perish from the swift, and the strong shall not strengthen his force, neither shall the mighty deliver himself:
15 Neither shall he stand that handleth the bow; and he that is swift of foot shall not deliver himself: neither shall he that rideth the horse deliver himself.
16 And he that is courageous among the mighty shall flee away naked in that day, saith the Lord.
