³⁰ And they went forth from thence, and passed through Galilee; and he would not that any man should know it. ³¹ For he taught his disciples, and said unto them, The Son of man is ^[a]delivered up into the hands of men, and they shall kill him; and when he is killed, after three days he shall rise again. ³² But they understood not the saying, and were afraid to ask him.

²² And while they ^[a]abode in Galilee, Jesus said unto them, The Son of man shall be ^[b]delivered up into the hands of men; ²³ and they shall kill him, and the third day he shall be raised up. And they were exceeding sorry.

⁴³ And they were all astonished at the majesty of God.

But while all were marvelling at all the things which he did, he said unto his disciples, ⁴⁴ Let these words sink into your ears: for the Son of man shall be ^[a]delivered up into the hands of men. ⁴⁵ But they understood not this saying, and it was concealed from them, that they should not perceive it; and they were afraid to ask him about this saying.
