1 Corinthians 15:17-23
New International Version
17 And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins.(A) 18 Then those also who have fallen asleep(B) in Christ are lost. 19 If only for this life we have hope in Christ, we are of all people most to be pitied.(C)
20 But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead,(D) the firstfruits(E) of those who have fallen asleep.(F) 21 For since death came through a man,(G) the resurrection of the dead(H) comes also through a man. 22 For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive.(I) 23 But each in turn: Christ, the firstfruits;(J) then, when he comes,(K) those who belong to him.(L)
1 Corinthians 15:17-23
King James Version
17 And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins.
18 Then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ are perished.
19 If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.
20 But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept.
21 For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.
22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.
23 But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming.

Romans 3:25-26
New International Version
25 God presented Christ as a sacrifice of atonement,[a](A) through the shedding of his blood(B)—to be received by faith. He did this to demonstrate his righteousness, because in his forbearance he had left the sins committed beforehand unpunished(C)— 26 he did it to demonstrate his righteousness at the present time, so as to be just and the one who justifies those who have faith in Jesus.
Footnotes
