Prästerna bär fram offren
9 På den åttonde dagen kallade Mose samman Aron och hans söner och de äldste i Israel. 2 Han sa till Aron: ”Ta en tjurkalv till syndoffer och en bagge till brännoffer, båda felfria, och för fram dem inför Herren. 3 Säg till Israels folk att ta en bock till syndoffer och en kalv och ett lamm till brännoffer. Båda ska vara årsgamla och felfria. 4 Ta också ett gemenskapsoffer till Herren bestående av en tjur och en bagge och ett matoffer av mjöl blandat med olja. I dag ska nämligen Herren uppenbara sig för er.”
5 De ledde alltså fram allt detta till uppenbarelsetältet som Mose hade befallt och hela församlingen kom och ställde sig inför Herren. 6 Mose sa till dem: ”Detta är vad Herren har befallt er och han ska uppenbara sin härlighet för er.”
7 Sedan bad Mose Aron att gå fram till altaret, offra sitt syndoffer och brännoffer och skaffa försoning för sig själv och folket och sedan offra folkets offer för att försona dem så som Herren hade befallt.
8 Aron gick alltså fram till altaret och slaktade kalven som sitt syndoffer. 9 Hans söner förde fram blodet åt honom och han doppade sitt finger i det, strök det på altarets fyra horn och hällde ut resten vid foten av altaret. 10 På altaret brände han enligt Herrens befallning till Mose upp syndoffrets fett, njurarna, fettet runt dessa och fettet runt levern, 11 men köttet och huden brände han upp utanför lägret. 12 Därefter slaktade han brännoffersdjuret, hans söner gav honom blodet och han stänkte det på altarets alla sidor. 13 De bar fram till honom stycke efter stycke av djuret, även dess huvud, och han brände upp alltsammans på altaret. 14 Sedan tvättade han inälvorna och benen och brände också detta på brännoffret på altaret.
15 Därefter bar han fram folkets offer. Han slaktade bocken och offrade folkets syndoffer på samma sätt som han gjort med det förra offret. 16 Så offrade han brännoffer till Herren i överensstämmelse med de givna föreskrifterna.
17 Sedan bar han fram matoffret. Han tog en handfull av det och brände det på altaret förutom morgonens brännoffer.
18 Han slaktade tjuren och baggen, folkets gemenskapsoffer. Arons söner bar fram blodet till honom och han stänkte det på altarets alla sidor. 19 Fettet från tjuren och baggen, fettet från deras svansar, fettet runt inälvorna och fettet runt njurarna och levern 20 placerade han på bringorna och brände upp fettet på altaret. 21 Men han lyfte upp bringorna och högra låret inför Herren som ett lyftoffer, så som Mose hade befallt.
22 Därefter välsignade Aron folket med sina händer utsträckta mot dem och kom sedan ner från altaret efter att ha offrat syndoffret, brännoffret och gemenskapsoffret. 23 Mose och Aron gick in i uppenbarelsetältet och när de kom ut igen, välsignade de folket och Herrens härlighet visade sig för hela folket. 24 Eld kom då ner från Herren och förtärde brännoffret och fettet på altaret. När folket såg detta jublade de och föll ner på marken.

3 Och tala till Israels barn och säg: Tagen en bock till syndoffer och en kalv och ett lamm, båda årsgamla och felfria, till brännoffer,
4 så ock en tjur och en vädur till tackoffer, att offra inför HERRENS ansikte, därtill ett spisoffer, begjutet med olja; ty i dag uppenbarar sig HERREN för eder.»
5 Och de togo det som Mose hade givit dem befallning om och förde det fram inför uppenbarelsetältet; och hela menigheten trädde fram och ställde sig inför HERRENS ansikte.
6 Då sade Mose: »Detta är vad HERREN har bjudit eder göra; så skall HERRENS härlighet visa sig för eder.»
7 Och Mose sade till Aron: »Träd fram till altaret och offra ditt syndoffer och ditt brännoffer, och bringa försoning för dig själv och folket; offra sedan folkets offer och bringa försoning för dem, såsom HERREN har bjudit.»
8 Då trädde Aron fram till altaret och slaktade sin syndofferskalv.
9 Och Arons söner buro fram blodet till honom, och han doppade sitt finger i blodet och strök på altarets horn, men det övriga blodet göt han ut vid foten av altaret.
10 Och syndoffersdjurets fett, njurar och leverfett förbrände han på altaret, såsom HERREN hade bjudit Mose.
11 Men köttet och huden brände han upp i eld utanför lägret.
12 Sedan slaktade han brännoffersdjuret. Och Arons söner räckte honom blodet, och han stänkte det på altaret runt omkring.
13 Och de räckte honom brännoffersdjuret, delat i sina stycken, och dess huvud, och han förbrände det på altaret.
14 Och han tvådde inälvorna och fötterna och förbrände dem ovanpå brännoffret, på altaret.
15 Därefter förde han fram folkets offer. Han tog folkets syndoffersbock och slaktade honom och offrade honom till syndoffer, på samma sätt som det förra syndoffersdjuret.
16 Och han förde fram brännoffersdjuren och offrade dem på föreskrivet sätt.
17 Och han bar fram spisoffret och tog en handfull därav och förbrände detta på altaret, förutom morgonens brännoffer.
18 Sedan slaktade han tjuren och väduren, som voro folkets tackoffer. Och Arons söner räckte honom blodet, och han stänkte det på altaret runt omkring.
19 Och fettstyckena av tjuren, samt av väduren svansen och vad som omsluter inälvorna, så ock njurarna och leverfettet,
20 dessa fettstycken lade de på bringorna; och han förbrände fettstyckena på altaret.
21 Men bringorna och det högra lårstycket viftade Aron till ett viftoffer inför HERRENS ansikte, såsom Mose hade bjudit.
22 Och Aron lyfte upp sina händer över folket och välsignade det. Därefter steg han ned, sedan han hade offrat syndoffret, brännoffret och tackoffret.
23 Och Mose och Aron gingo in i uppenbarelsetältet; sedan gingo de åter ut och välsignade folket. Då visade sig HERRENS härlighet för allt folket.
24 Och eld gick ut från HERREN och förtärde brännoffret och fettstyckena på altaret. Och allt folket såg detta; då jublade de och föllo ned på sina ansikten.

9 And it came to pass on the eighth day, that Moses called Aaron and his sons, and the elders of Israel;
2 And he said unto Aaron, Take thee a young calf for a sin offering, and a ram for a burnt offering, without blemish, and offer them before the Lord.
3 And unto the children of Israel thou shalt speak, saying, Take ye a kid of the goats for a sin offering; and a calf and a lamb, both of the first year, without blemish, for a burnt offering;
4 Also a bullock and a ram for peace offerings, to sacrifice before the Lord; and a meat offering mingled with oil: for to day the Lord will appear unto you.
5 And they brought that which Moses commanded before the tabernacle of the congregation: and all the congregation drew near and stood before the Lord.
6 And Moses said, This is the thing which the Lord commanded that ye should do: and the glory of the Lord shall appear unto you.
7 And Moses said unto Aaron, Go unto the altar, and offer thy sin offering, and thy burnt offering, and make an atonement for thyself, and for the people: and offer the offering of the people, and make an atonement for them; as the Lord commanded.
8 Aaron therefore went unto the altar, and slew the calf of the sin offering, which was for himself.
9 And the sons of Aaron brought the blood unto him: and he dipped his finger in the blood, and put it upon the horns of the altar, and poured out the blood at the bottom of the altar:
10 But the fat, and the kidneys, and the caul above the liver of the sin offering, he burnt upon the altar; as the Lord commanded Moses.
11 And the flesh and the hide he burnt with fire without the camp.
12 And he slew the burnt offering; and Aaron's sons presented unto him the blood, which he sprinkled round about upon the altar.
13 And they presented the burnt offering unto him, with the pieces thereof, and the head: and he burnt them upon the altar.
14 And he did wash the inwards and the legs, and burnt them upon the burnt offering on the altar.
15 And he brought the people's offering, and took the goat, which was the sin offering for the people, and slew it, and offered it for sin, as the first.
16 And he brought the burnt offering, and offered it according to the manner.
17 And he brought the meat offering, and took an handful thereof, and burnt it upon the altar, beside the burnt sacrifice of the morning.
18 He slew also the bullock and the ram for a sacrifice of peace offerings, which was for the people: and Aaron's sons presented unto him the blood, which he sprinkled upon the altar round about,
19 And the fat of the bullock and of the ram, the rump, and that which covereth the inwards, and the kidneys, and the caul above the liver:
20 And they put the fat upon the breasts, and he burnt the fat upon the altar:
21 And the breasts and the right shoulder Aaron waved for a wave offering before the Lord; as Moses commanded.
22 And Aaron lifted up his hand toward the people, and blessed them, and came down from offering of the sin offering, and the burnt offering, and peace offerings.
23 And Moses and Aaron went into the tabernacle of the congregation, and came out, and blessed the people: and the glory of the Lord appeared unto all the people.
24 And there came a fire out from before the Lord, and consumed upon the altar the burnt offering and the fat: which when all the people saw, they shouted, and fell on their faces.

9 Then[a] on the eighth day Moses summoned Aaron and his sons and Israel’s elders, 2 and he said to Aaron, “Take for yourself a bull calf[b] as a sin offering and a ram as a burnt offering, without defect,[c] and present them before[d] Yahweh. 3 Then[e] you[f] must speak to the Israelites,[g] saying, ‘Take a he-goat[h] as a sin offering and a bull calf and a male sheep, yearlings[i] without defect,[j] as a burnt offering, 4 and an ox and a ram as fellowship offerings to sacrifice before[k] Yahweh, and a grain offering mixed with oil, because today Yahweh will appear to you.”[l] 5 So[m] they took what Moses had commanded to the front of[n] the tent of assembly, and the whole community presented themselves, and they stood before[o] Yahweh.
6 Then[p] Moses said, “This is the word that Yahweh commanded you[q] to do so that[r] the glory of Yahweh might appear to you.”[s] 7 Then[t] Moses said to Aaron, “Approach[u] the altar and sacrifice[v] your sin offering and your burnt offering, and make atonement for yourself and for the people. And sacrifice[w] the people’s offering and make atonement for them, just as Yahweh has commanded.”
8 Then[x] Aaron approached[y] the altar, and he slaughtered the bull calf of the sin offering, which was for himself. 9 Then[z] Aaron’s sons presented the blood to him, and he dipped his finger in the blood, and he put it on the altar’s horns, and he poured out the blood on the altar’s base. 10 And the fat and the kidneys and the lobe from the sin offering’s liver[aa] he turned into smoke on the altar, just as Yahweh had commanded Moses, 11 but[ab] the meat and the skin he burned with fire[ac] outside the camp.[ad]
12 Then[ae] he slaughtered the burnt offering, and Aaron’s sons brought the blood to him, and he sprinkled it on the altar all around; 13 and they brought the burnt offering to him by its pieces, as well as[af] the head, and he turned them into smoke on the altar; 14 and he washed the inner parts[ag] and the lower leg bones, then[ah] he turned them into smoke upon the burnt offering on the altar.
15 Then[ai] he presented the people’s offering, and he took the goat of the sin offering, which was for the people, and he slaughtered it and offered[aj] it as a sin offering like the first one. 16 Then[ak] he presented the burnt offering, and he sacrificed[al] it according to the regulation. 17 Then[am] he presented the grain offering, and he filled his palm with some of[an] it, and he turned it into smoke on the altar besides the morning’s burnt offering. 18 Then[ao] he slaughtered the ox and the ram, the fellowship offerings that are for the people, and Aaron’s sons brought the blood to him, and he sprinkled it on the altar all around. 19 And as for the fat portions from the ox and from the ram (the fat tail and the layer of fat and the kidneys and the lobe of the liver), 20 they placed the fat portions on the breast sections, and he turned the fat portions into smoke on the altar. 21 Then[ap] Aaron waved the breast sections and the right upper thigh as a wave offering before[aq] Yahweh, just as Moses had commanded.
22 Then[ar] Aaron lifted his hand toward[as] the people, and he blessed them, and he came down after[at] sacrificing[au] the sin offering and the burnt offering and the fellowship offerings. 23 Then[av] Moses and Aaron entered the tent of assembly. When[aw] they came out, they blessed[ax] the people, and Yahweh’s glory appeared to all the people. 24 Then[ay] a fire went out from before[az] Yahweh, and it consumed the burnt offering and the fat portions on the altar. And all the people saw it, so[ba] they shouted for joy, and they fell on their faces.
